The Tanzania Nutrition and Dietetics Association (TNDA) is pleased to announce the Call for Abstract Submissions for its 4th Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference 2026. This prestigious event brings together nutrition and health professionals, researchers, policymakers, academicians, and development partners to share knowledge, research findings, and innovative solutions that advance nutrition and public health in Tanzania and beyond.

Conference Theme

“Good Nutrition, Thriving Nation”

The 2026 conference theme emphasizes the critical role of optimal nutrition in building a healthy, productive, and resilient population. Good nutrition remains a cornerstone for human development, disease prevention, economic growth, and sustainable national development. Through this conference, TNDA aims to foster evidence-based dialogue and collaboration that strengthens nutrition programming, policy, and practice.

Sub-Themes

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit abstracts aligned with the following sub-themes:

  1. Nutrition and Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs)
    Exploring the role of nutrition in the prevention, management, and control of NCDs.
  2. Maternal, Infant, and Child Nutrition
    Addressing interventions, outcomes, and innovations that improve nutrition across the life course.
  3. Community Nutrition and Behaviour Change
    Highlighting community-based approaches, social and behavior change communication, and impact-driven programs.
  4. Nutrition Services, Product Development, and Commodities
    Innovations in nutrition service delivery, food products, supplementation, and fortification.
  5. Nutrition, WASH, and Environmental Health
    Examining the linkages between nutrition, water, sanitation, hygiene, and environmental health.
  6. Nutrition Policy, Governance, and Financing
    Insights into policy frameworks, governance systems, and sustainable financing for nutrition programs.

Abstract Submission Guidelines

Submitted abstracts should clearly address the conference theme or one of the sub-themes and include the following components:

  • Title
  • Objectives
  • Methodology
  • Findings
  • Conclusion
  • Recommendations

Abstracts should be concise, evidence-based, and reflect original research or programmatic experiences.
